Professional Qualifications:

Retired 27 years, full time professional firefighter, and 2.5 years as a dedicated volunteer, and Per Diem, have dispatched, performed various firefighter life safety duties, operated the 100’ aerial ladder truck, tanker trucks, second and first engines, and conducted extrication and basic vehicle and facility maintenance. I have also operated the first attack engine as needed. In the recent past years, I have assumed additional responsibilities of Deputy Chief in his absence. I received my basic EMT License in 1978, advanced to EMT Critical Care in 1985, and advanced from EMT to Paramedic in 1989. In 2004. Concurrently, in the fall of
2002, in the absence of training money in our budget, I financed and completed the Fire Officer 1 course in Belfast, Me. I acquired my Critical Care, Air Flight and Sr. Crew Chief status with decision making responsibilities in the absence of the Crown Management. In other previous employment I supervised a crew of 26 men & women employees.
